Check it on a phone

A page that only works on your laptop is a draft. Before you share it, run this list on a device that looks like your user’s.

On the phone

1. Open the public URL on mobile data, not only Wi-Fi.
2. Stand near a window or outside. If the type disappears, your contrast failed.
3. Use one hand. If a tap target is a word in 12px grey, enlarge it.
4. Rotate to landscape and back. Nothing important should vanish.
5. Leave the page and return. The important list should still be there (it is HTML, not a dream the JavaScript forgot).

Weight

If the first paint takes more than a few seconds on a thin bundle, you added too much. Remove a webfont. Remove a hero image. Remove a script you cannot explain.

Write down one thing that broke. Fix that one thing. Do not start a redesign.
