Typing on the device you have

Laptops, phones, and not waiting for perfect hardware.

A used laptop with a current browser is enough. So is a phone plus a playground for the first HTML lessons.

Phone

  • Landscape helps for code.
  • A Bluetooth keyboard is a luxury, not a requirement.
  • Save exports immediately; playground tabs vanish when the bundle ends.
  • On Android, Acode or a similar editor can open an index.html file you keep in Downloads.
  • GitHub’s website can edit a file in the browser if you already have a repo.

Laptop

  • Learn ten shortcuts: save, copy, paste, undo, find, comment, select all, close tab, refresh, screenshot.
  • Sit so the screen is not washing out. Contrast matters more than a new machine.
  • VS Code is free. You do not need paid themes or AI add-ons on day one.
